Utility Partners

Dollar Energy Fund was founded in 1983 with three utility partners. Today, our organization works with 50 utilities in 17 states to provide assistance to families in need. Our utility partners recognize the importance of helping the community and play an integral role in Dollar Energy Fund’s ability to provide assistance grants to those in need. They provide funds that can be used to match customer donations and make a separate donation to cover our administrative fees. This unique model allows Dollar Energy Fund to use 100 percent of all individual donations to provide utility assistance grants to limited-income households.
