One Year Web Anniversary

We always strive to make Dollar Energy Fund as accessible as possible to our donors, clients and community and utility partners. We want people to be able to find information about grants, ask questions and understand the impact of donations. For these reasons, we created a website years ago that would host information for our various audiences.

But as time went on and our offerings expanded, we had to make improvements to our website. Each time we upgraded, it was not only to provide increased engagement, but also to accommodate our growth as an organization and the changing needs of our utility partners. One year ago today, we completed a major website upgrade and redesign to allow for a more user-friendly experience. The upgrade provided a way for people to search for programs available in each state, find the information they need, and do so with ease.

With the update, we were able to still keep things simple and straightforward – but with better service to our clients and donors. Now, it’s very simple to find assistance by clicking the “Need Help?”  button on the top of the main page. It will take you to a map, from which you can choose your state and begin to find helpful local resources immediately.

It’s also easier to donate! Choose the “Donate” button at the top of the main page (above the Need Help button) and select or enter an amount of money to donate to families in need. Or, you can read about other ways to donate to Dollar Energy Fund. Remember that the “Check the Box” portion of the website, which can be accessed through the scrolling banner on the main page, is also a great way to donate. Check the Box is a Dollar Energy Fund campaign designed to encourage utility customers to contribute a small, regular amount to Dollar Energy Fund through their monthly utility bill. Check the Box is for those who are looking to donate, not for those looking for financial assistance.

The website update also brought a better space for content. Now, we can share all sorts of information with our audiences – including everything from new program openings to fundraiser events. For this type of information, click the News/Events tab.
