Dollar Energy Fund relies on the knowledge, dedication, skills, and engagement of our Human Resources Department on a daily basis. Our HR staff strives to attract and retain talented employees and create an environment that enables them to reach their full potential. That is why Dollar Energy Fund has been named one of Pittsburgh’s Top Workplaces for three consecutive years.
Lisa Stoebener is Dollar Energy Fund’s Director of Human Resources. She joined our team in 2009. Lisa is responsible for all Human Resource functions including benefits, recruiting, and employee relations. In 2010, Lisa passed her HR certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHP). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Westminster College and her MBA from Robert Morris University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Westmoreland Human Resources Association (WHRA). In 2012, Lisa was selected as a Human Resource Leadership Awards winner by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
Can you describe an ideal employee?
They are motivated, positive and loyal.
How much guidance is made available to employees for them to meet their goals?
Depending on the position, Dollar Energy Fund offers formal, on-the-job training.
What do you notice employees enjoy most about working at Dollar Energy Fund?
I think employees enjoy the benefits, casual environment and knowing that they make a difference in peoples’ lives by the work they do.
Any other advice for someone going into an interview?
Be on time. Be professional. Be prepared to talk about your work history and your accomplishments.
