Coffee for Cool Down Donors

January 8th, 2016

As you know, we’re counting down the last 20 days until the 2016 Cool Down for Warmth. In addition to some other great activities and promotions, which we’ll share as we get closer and closer to the event, we have some exciting news!

This year, we’re teaming up with the Pittsburgh area Dunkin Donuts’ to help even more families get warm this winter. Come see us in Market Square on either Thursday, Jan. 28,  or Friday, Jan. 29, during the hours of the Cool Down for Warmth and donate $5 to Dollar Energy Fund for a free cup of coffee ($2.50 value) at a participating Dunkin Donuts.

A $50 donation will earn you 20 coffees. You don’t need to donate the $50 on the spot, either. We encourage you to set up your own personal fundraiser on our Crowdrise page. As long as you raise the $50 or more between the Cool Down for Warmth and the Dollar Energy Fund Warmathon (February 11, 2016), you can enjoy 20 free coffees ($2.50 value each) throughout the year.

So, look at it this way: if you’re coming down to Market Square for a cup of coffee anyway, you might as well donate to Dollar Energy Fund in the process to help local, limited-income families restore or maintain their utility service. Check back here for more updates on this partnership, as well as Cool Down for Warmth updates, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
