Remembering Jim Escovitz: A Dedicated Board Member and Advocate for Dollar Energy Fund

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved board member, Jim Escovitz. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Jim’s family and friends on behalf of Dollar Energy Fund’s Board of Directors and our entire organization.

Jim was the longest-serving Board Member in Dollar Energy Fund’s 40-year history, dedicating over 17 years to the Board of Directors. He first joined the Board of Directors in 2002, bringing a wealth of knowledge from his career as an attorney and a deep commitment to serving others.

Throughout his tenure, Jim took on various roles such as Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, and actively participated in the Executive and Finance Committees. In between his official terms, he generously volunteered his time and expertise to support Dollar Energy Fund’s initiatives. Jim’s dedication to our mission was instrumental in guiding the organization through significant growth and expansion of assistance programs to families beyond Pennsylvania.

Not only was Jim a devoted member of our organization, but he was also an avid golfer. To honor his unwavering commitment, we are proud to announce that our Golf Classic will be renamed the Jim Escovitz Memorial Golf Classic. This event will not only celebrate Jim’s legacy but also continue to raise funds to support those in need.

We will carry forward Jim’s vision and passion for making a difference in the lives of others as we continue to honor his memory. His invaluable contributions to Dollar Energy Fund will continue to resonate for years to come. Today, as we remember Jim, we are grateful for the lasting impact he made on our organization and the community we serve.
